General information about Village Resort BalatongyorokThe CASTRUM Campsite in Balatongyörök was built directly on the shore of the lake in 1993. As the newest and one of the most beautiful camping sites of the CASTRUM chain of camping sites, it is equipped with the most modern facilities, including a café, food shop, confectionery, games room, massage, buffet and a restaurant called `Beach Pub`. The numbered pitches for tents and caravans are equipped with electric hook-ups and are surrounded by hedges. The wonderfully landscaped park features a wide range of facilities and services: e.g. a well kept sandy beach on the shore of Lake Balaton which is a watersports lovers` paradise. In our park, which has several hundred meter long waterfront, you can find plenty of facilities for all sorts of water-related fun. Thanks to the shallow water by the shore, the private sandy beach of the campsite can be safely used even by children, who can also watch the friendly swans or play in the playground. Lovers of watersports can enjoy our sailing facilities, windsurfing school and rowing boats. There is a rental shop at your service where you can rent even table tennis sets and bicycles. On the first-class tennis-courts equipped with changing rooms, showers and toilets, our tennis instructors teach tennis to the children. On the sandy beach there is a drink bar and a volley-ball court for the convenience of the guests. Visitors can find everything they might need here, and they don`t even have to leave the premises in order to do the necessary shopping Anglers can expect a rich catch of fish on our private fishing platform in the reed. This campsite has been a holiday village since 1998 and with its 48 apartment units and the first-class tennis courts, it is the best-equipped member of the camping chain. The apartment bungallows are at the same level with the three-star hotel rooms. All houses are furnished with all conveniences: a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom and one bedroom with a satellite hook-up for TV sets brought with or rented. Daily house cleaning and changing of towels and bed-linen are also part of the service. Each apartment has got a friendly, roofed terrace with garden furniture for relaxation in the shade or for sunbathing on the lawn. In front of the houses there are individual parking places. In the centre of this holiday village, in beautiful surroundings, there is a lovely restaurant called `Beach Pub` which can seat 150 guests and offers various specialities. The park is located beneath Szépkilátó (`Beautiful View`): a place with one of the most magnificent panoramas which has inspired several artists so far. Visiting the Keszthely Hills, the thermal Lake in Hévíz, the Bakony Hills, the nearby town of Keszthely, the Tihany peninsula with its Baroque Church, Szigliget or other places of interest along the northern shore of Lake Balaton will leave lasting memories of a wonderful holiday here. |
